Synopsis
A bear walks through the forest and comes across his favourite tree. It is covered in flowers, plants and pretty fungi. After scratching against the tree, he notices snow falling and decides it's time to go into hibernation.
After going to hibernate in his nearby cave, the bear emerges in spring only to realise to his horror that his favourite tree has been chopped down. He is visibly upset, and walks through the forest as before. Eventually he notices a squirrel nearby who is unearthing an acorn, and this gives him an idea.
He finds another acorn and delicately buries it into a mound of dirt. He is very pleased with himself and sits patiently, observing his handiwork. It's meant to be a kind of bittersweet ending.
